What's the difference between Instant Book and Request to Book?
Instant Book confirms immediately and charges your card. Request to Book sends the host a request to accept or decline — no charge until they accept.
Can I cancel my booking for free?
It depends on the listing's cancellation policy (flexible, moderate or strict), which is always shown before you pay.
How long do refunds take?
Refunds typically take 5–10 business days to appear, depending on your bank. Home2 releases the refund immediately when a cancellation or dispute is resolved in your favour, and you’ll get an email confirmation.
How do I know if a host is verified?
Verified hosts show a green badge after completing identity (KYC) checks.
When does my host get paid?
Hosts are paid out after check-in, on their chosen schedule, once their payout account is set up.
What happens if there's a problem at check-in?
Contact support from your trip — we mediate with the host and can arrange a refund where warranted.
